Stoney Meenuk Photography: Tempurung Outing

Oh yes! our outing to Tempurung seaside lodge was a success.. We have had good time ...lots of funs, lots of laugh ....and our group is name as Logops Weekend Travel Reunion 2009. ..We departed about 1330hrs from Wisma Sabah and picked up Welter at Tg Aru plaza. Once Welter on board, he started to introduced himself and yeah he is an entertainer....good to have him around, he always have something to jokes, riddles and information.... info about Kuala Penyu and about Papar.....cos we do have friends from West Malaysia who joined us too....so the info was very useful for everyone including me ....We reached Papar nearly 1420hrs...stopped over for lunch. Siince we don't really know which shop to have lunch, so we keep crossing the road going to one shop to another.... At last, we stopped at one of the new shoplot. We just have mee soup, mee goreng, rice with sasau, nasi goreng and nasi with kulit babi goreng ( sedap).....

After lunch, Nordin( the driver) informed Emily to wait at Petronas petrol station ( cos he parked the coach very far from the shop we went)...so off we go there...but Welter says, not there but at the bus stop (the other side of the road - again), so we crossed over...hahaha punya la kasihan, the coach did not stop at the bus stop but at the Petronas ( acrossed the road again).....and you know what?....without our knowledge, one of our colleague ( boss's brother) missing in action....not that we know that he is lost actually.. we thought that he was following behind....but when were were inside the coach at the Petrol station, he came running....was sweating and breathless ( tergugap-gugap) and carry with him a bag plastic bag with lots of junks food.... and he told Emily....

Wko: I looked for you all but I could not find....I called you but no answer too... ( of course in broken malay...when he speak you could hardly understand what he say sometime)
Em: Odoi gia! where did you go? Sorry I did not hear the phone ring...
Wko: I went to buy some tit-bits la....here for us ( of course in malay la...)
Em: Odoi, where did you go? G-Mart?....nah, wko says he was lost gia...could not find us
Us: Huh? lost? where? why? where did he go? OMG! if we lost him, die la our boss will be very angry....cos we lost his brother...and we all laugh....kind of funny to think that...suddently he is lost in Papar..... hehehehe
We panic for a while juga la...cos if really he is missing..then what? ...but I think we are not that stupid to leave him alone if we see that he is not in the coach or anyone else....cos everytime we stopped over for anything ( either to toilet or to buy something) and if about to leave we have to asked whether everyone in or not...or we count head....so could not miss one.

During our entire journey from Papar to Kuala Penyu, we did not fall asleep ( usually one does cos of the 2 hours journey) but that day I think only Wko did ( I think he was tired running around earlier)....cos Welter was a good entertainer and he have so many jokes and other friends give riddles too, so everyone seem to participate, thats make us awake. It was not really a good day, it was raining...We reached the junction between Menumbok and Kuala Penyu about 1730hrs... We stopped over to buy some more beer at one of the Stall....and while waiting for the others, I take my change to take pictures.....

We continued our journey .....and the driver asked if anyone know which road to go to Tempurung.....ah? I have been there once before but I could not remember the junction...while on lookout for the junction and bla...bla....bla...we missed the junction hehehe. We drove until passed the hospital and then we make a U-turn again.... This time have to be serious for the lookout....Yes, we saw the junction alright ( same junction going to St Augustine Church, if I am not mistaken) ...the road is still gravel and a bit slippery cos it was raining earlier...we drove and drove until we reached T-junctions ...hahaha this is hard...which way to go, left or right?..... No one can recall which way to go....last year I went but still could not remember ( I was not driving so did not really take a good look)...,and also the road before was a small kampung road, but this time, its under construction, so its different... I think we stopped for about 5 minute, then called one of Tempurung staff and he/she told us to go on the left.... We followed the instruction... and again there is a round about..... Again? which road hahahaa everyone say, go straights, go straights and the driver drive straight....but it don't seem to end...and we saw a house and a man was there. We asked him....

Us: Sir, which way to Tempurung ( of course in Malay la)
Man: Oh, you passed already, that road...point to where we come from...this road is going to the main road....aduh.
Us: Thank you so much.....and we make a U-turn again
Me: I was so excited taking pictures of the Pigs....so many oh there... not easy to see around KK or Penampang nowadays....
What surprise me was, the man look like a malay but why he have so many pigs around his house...hmmmm....he reared it for business maybe huh?.....

Again we drove back the same road we came earlier and reached the round about...since there is no signboard of where the road leading to....so its difficult for one to know exactly which road to go....luckily there is a house and boy nearby, so we asked him.....
Lily: Where is Tempurung?. We all laughed....funny question ba the way she asked...(Should asked which way to Tempurung)...ish! funny juga....
Boy:...oh this the road....( luckily he understand)

So off we drove again.....until we reached to a point where there is a Tempurung signboard but there is no indication of arrow to which way....going straight or turn to right?...We have to called again...and this time they sent one of their staff to meet us near the junction....you know why we keep losing our way cos the road is inside thel jungle and its still under construction and no road signboard hehehe.... lucky its still early, I mean still not dark yet...if not we might really lost our way there....

Upon arrival we registered, check in and get our room keys..., put our things and take shower ready to have our BBQ dinner. Well, dinner was ok but still dissappointing cos the food seem so little. So we keep asking them, any refilled. Luckily got refilled but still not so happy cos you have to wait for everyone to have eaten then you go for your next round. Chicken, lamb chop was ok but the prawns and fish was not so good. They did not really marinated the fish....not tasty. Luckily, got chilly otherwise its tastless and still smell of fish.

Ok, after dinner, we have our drinking session. Well, sorry but I did not drink alot, just have 1 glass of Barley. And it did kicked my head juga hehehehe....I was sweating and sweating the whole night.....they tried to forced me to drink more and get drunk but not easy ...cos I am not really into drinking but I did enjoyed their company la...and then I think the beer or the vodka are kicking everyone head....and even Alice have 4 glasses of screwdriver ( is that the name ke - vodka ( grapefruit) mixed with orange juice....

Then late at night, I think the acholol really kick the head of everyone.... laughing... joking or making a jokes to one another....dancing, sumazau ( we have music from Liza's MP3).....ah then a semi-stripped show happened....hehehehe... this is fun...they have taken video lagi tu...but sorry cannot tell who....the show is just for fun and a good laugh....we adjourned to bed about 0010am I think and some later..... Wake up the next morning, have breakfast...went to beach take pictures....some have their swim but I did not - too hot la!

After lunch we depart back to KK about 1400hrs....went to Kuala Penyu town for coffee ( since most of us never been there).... On the way back, again as usual Welter continued his jokes and some info about Papar and its surrounding..... Reached home about 1800hrs......ok we did enjoy our outing...we have a good laugh and the next outing will be in April or May to another destination.......enjoy the pictures below....more at facebook and my photo gallery...
